Thirty-one students from our evening learning centre passed their matric examinations this year, many with first divisions. Most of them work during the day to support their families.
Learning around work
Classes run from 4 pm to 8 pm so children can attend after work. Teachers track every student's progress and meet parents each month.
“My teacher stayed late every evening before the exams. I want to become a teacher too.” — Ayan, grade 10
Twelve graduates have enrolled in intermediate colleges, with scholarships covering their fees.
